Creative Chaos: writers group for ADHD folks
Creative Chaos is an experimental co-created monthly writers group for folks with ADHD.
(No formal diagnoses is necessary.)
Most people know that neurodivergent brains work differently from neurotypical ones, but it can be uncomfortable to bring up ADHD specific issues and to ask for our unique needs to be heard and met when in community with other writers.
Creative Chaos is a place where ADHD writers can share experiences and learn from one another. No shame. No blame. No getting crapped on for lacking routine/focus/consistency. No mention of potential.
This group is offered as a collaborative community. Just like our writing, energy and needs flow and change, so will the group content. We will loosely following the structure of intros/checking in, roundtable discussion of what's happened since we last met/what's working/what's not/what's needed next, goal setting/goodbyes. We will not be workshopping one another's writing in these sessions, nor will the focus be on creating new work. Instead, we will be discussing the thrills and challenges of what we are writing, how we are writing it and what we need to build creative resilience and sustainable writing lives as ADHDers.
Registration is offered on a sliding scale, beginning at 50$. (Use code ACCESSCHAOS for access rate at checkout.) You can currently register for one one month at a time. Spots will be offered to current Creative Chaos members for the next month before they are released to other writers.
I ask that you show up as often as possible for sessions, with your camera on.
The group size is limited to 5 participants to space to meet the needs of all. Meetings are set for 90 minutes, though we may use only an hour.
In March we will meet:
Sundays at 4:30pm
Wednesday at 10:30am
Price, timing and structure of the group may change as the experiment evolves.
