Is a small group intensive to guide writers with a finished piece of writing through workshopping and submitting their work to lit mags, journals and more.
This small group intensive begins April 13, 2023. We meet from 6:30pm-8:30pm EST on Zoom. Cost is 175-250$. Spaces are limited to 6 participants and require that you fill out a short application, including a sample of your writing, to ensure the intensive is the right fit for all participants. If the application is a barrier for you, please email Meg to set up a time to meet and chat, instead. Register here.
Six Weeks to Hit Submit is…
A 6 week celebration of you and your writing.
Weekly meetings including workshopping sessions, and guidance through each step of the submissions process (see weekly outline below for more info)
Unique, writer-entered workshopping experience
Perfect for people interested in receiving writer-centered feedback on their work, in ways that feel good to them.
A chance for the anxious, frightened and tender to get support for their writing and themselves in a small group setting.
Who is it for?
Prose writers with a completed, polished story or project they feel they can benefit from 1 hour of workshopping time. (Fiction, nonfiction.)
People who have time to commit to their writing and the writing of others. (There will be some prep work and reading to do to outside of our meeting times.)
Writers curious about submitting their work to literary magazines or journals who are looking for accountability and support to get started sharing their writing with the world.
Those looking for alternatives to traditional workshopping (you won’t be sitting quietly while people talk about your writing!)
Folks with or without previous workshopping and experience submitting are welcome, however you will be expected to participate in giving and receiving requested feedback on others work. (Lots of guidance provided.)
