Best Buds Writing Circle for new, Nervous and/or neurodivergent writers

Best Buds begins May 7, and continues on Tuesdays in May from 12pm-2pm EST. It is offered on a sliding scale from $90-$160,

Each month, Best Buds explores a different theme. May’s theme is MAGIC.

• Want to show up as your whole self, so you can explore the ways neurodivergence and creativity intersect

• Feel haunted by the desire to write, but have never set pen to paper

Best Buds might be for you.

This is a space for new, nervous and/or neurodivergent writers looking to create in good company. This writing circle will introduce a variety of approaches to writing, invite you to explore the written word in new ways, and will help you stretch yourself creatively.

All Writers in Bloom events are built on the belief that community is crucial to creation, and that writing with people who understand our needs and experiences can be a healing, healthy experience that can be difficult to find. Although all are welcome, Writers in Bloom centers and celebrates the experiences of neurodivergent folks.

• Who should join Best Buds?

  Best Buds is well suited to new, nervous and/or neurodivergent writers who want to write new things and make new writer-friends.

• What will we do?

  Each week, we’ll write together using a variety of writing invitations. There will be quiet writing times, space for conversations and chances to share our brand-new words. We’ll also take time to ask any questions you might have about writerly things.

• Where and when is Best Buds happening?

  Best Buds is hosted on Tuesdays from 12pm-2pm EST on Zoom. You’ll be signing up to join for the month, and each mont has it’s own theme.

• Can you join Best Buds for more than one month?

  Please do! Registration will happen monthly, but returning Buds will have priority on joining the next months session. Although there will be consistency in the shape of each week’s circle, the changing theme means there will be different invitations and explorations, and new buds mean new creations, connections and chances to learn and grow.

• What does Best Buds cost and how can you sign up?

  Like all Writers In Bloom events, Best Buds is offered on a siding scale.

  Access rate: $90

  Sustain rate: $125

  Support rate: $160
